My name is Carolina, and I’m a curious and creative soul who loves building both digital experiences and human meeting places. Today, I work as a product designer in tech, where I get to combine the things I love most—valuable, smart solutions, user focus, and beautiful design. Over the years, I’ve also taken on roles as a developer, project manager, and worked with DevRel, which has given me an understanding of both the code behind and the people in front of the screen.

Alongside my work, I’m deeply involved in the tech community. I’m on the board of PyCon Sweden, mentor and lead workshops with PyLadies & Django Girls, and have given talks and coding workshops for everything from Coding for Immigrants to Mimmit Koodaa and Uppsala Women Coding. Creating inclusive spaces where more people feel encouraged to step into the tech world is something I’m truly passionate about—and I love seeing the spark in someone who’s just written their first line of code.

 

When I’m not designing user experiences or leading workshops, you’ll likely find me with a paintbrush or crochet hook in hand. I illustrate graphic paintings, paint watercolors, crochet things I may (or may not) need, grow everything from physalis to flowers—and organize food safaris for friends where we try dishes from around the world.
I’m also always on the hunt for the next favorite restaurant—so tips are warmly welcome!
